Sculptra’s active ingredient is a poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA)that helps to restore your skin's foundation, which is a bio-stimulatory dermal filler, which means it stimulates your natural collagen production over time. While the results are similar to other dermal fillers, the active ingredient produces results over time naturally, while hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers (Juvederm, etc) plump the skin instantaneously based on volume of injection.

As with all treatments, we’ll start with a custom consultation to cover your concerns and desired results. To start the procedure, we’ll apply a numbing cream to minimize any discomfort, clean, and mark injection areas to be treated. Injections take just seconds per site, but the time of your procedure varies based on the amount of areas of concern being treated.

Generally there is little to no downtime with Sculptra. Some patients may experience redness, bruising or swelling, however these typically resolve within a day or two.

A series of treatments are needed to see results from Sculptra, however, it does create longer lasting results up to 2 years. On average, you will have 2 to 3 treatment sessions over the course of a few months. The number of injections at each session will vary based on the treatment plan determined by you and your aesthetic professional.
